Episode 7
Dr. Josie Ahlquist has been researching digital community building and using social media as a leadership tool for almost a decade. Her new book Digital Leadership in Higher Education: Purposeful Social Media in a Connected World was just released, and Josie has studied how leaders are using social media to connect with audiences. Josie challenges leaders to use their values to drive their online presence. She helps leaders close the skills gap that sometimes exists, discern what their digital presence looks like, and educates higher education executives on the ever-changing landscape of social media. Josie is also conscious of how her work trickles down to the marketing departments of institutions; she’s an advocate for not only leaders but those who support them.
